It’s been a good year for Jayson Hopper. It’s also been a busy year. From winning the 2025 CrossFit Games to competing nine times this calendar year, Hopper has made 2025 a year to remember. But with one competition remaining before year-end, the Fittest Man on Earth is shutting it down early.
Hopper will not compete at the WFP Finals this December. In speaking with Hopper, he told The Barbell Spin that he will share more about his decision soon.

Hopper’s withdrawal is likely not a shock to those who watched this week’s Boys Interrupted podcast. In that episode, Medeiros and Hopper spoke about training and their plans in the coming weeks. Hopper shared, “I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do. I wanted to take two weeks off after Rogue. Let the body get back and heal up a little bit, and work on the shed a little bit.”
That shed, or the Hop Shop, is the home gym Hopper is finally working on. He gave an update yesterday and it looks like he is making some good progress.

Anyway, back to competition, Hopper has notified World Fitness Project that will not be in Copenhagen for the finals.
Tommaso Pieri is the next athlete in line to receive a backfill invite. He is currently ranked 33rd with 460 season points.
Hopper was set to enter the WFP Finals in 5th place for the season with 890 points and in contention to win the season title. Now, however, Hopper will fall out of the top 20, eliminating his chances of retaining his Pro Card for the 2026 season.
Hopper is now the third male athlete who will not compete at the WFP Finals. Victor Hoffer and Sam Kwant, also WFP Pros, have withdrawn due to injury.
With Hopper’s withdraw, eight athletes have formally withdrawn from the upcoming WFP Finals. Seven of those are Pro Card athletes while Lexi Neely qualifier as a Challenger.
