This week is apparently HYROX week. From Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr pairing up with James Newbury, Jay Crouch and Mattie Sturt, Paige Powers and Dalton Rodgers, Nick Mathew and even the Wooley Memeth, everyone seems to be doing HYROX this off-season. And today, in Ireland, Lucy McGonigle and her sister, Katie, took part in the Women’s Doubles division at HYROX Dublin.
The sisters competed the 8k run and eight stations in 1:12:30. Their time is currently the 25th best time in their age group. However, the duo has the fastest time on the wall ball station. So likely Lucy took on the 100 wall balls and finished in 3:12.
McGonigle is a two-time Teenage CrossFit Games champion (2022 and 2023). This past season she finished 3rd at the 2024 Teenage CrossFit Games. Next month McGonigle will be on Team Europe at the 2024 FitFest Invitational.
