A year after discontinuing the Occupational Games, CrossFit has created the Service Open. Like its predecessor, the Service Open is for service members in the CrossFit community to see where they stack up against their peers.
The Service Open is a one-week virtual competition from June 6-13. While athletes were able to use a service hashtag in the CrossFit Open, all athletes within one of the included professions are invited to compete regardless of whether they participated in the Open or not.
Included Professions:
- Affiliate Owner
- CrossFit Trainer
- Medical Professional
- Educator
- Military Veteran
- Active Duty Military
- Law Enforcement
- Firefighter
- First Responder
- EMS Responder
The competition will be hosted on the Rogue Fitness website where athletes will complete three workouts over the seven days in early June. There will be Rx’d and Scaled divisions.
Athletes who used a service hashtag in the Open will receive an email with instructions to register, but all can register directly on the Rogue website. The cost to compete is $10, but $35 gets you an entry plus an official CrossFit Service Cup t-shirt.
If you are curious about the workouts, those have already been posted on the Rogue website…
