First Look at the Competition Floor Layout for WFP Tour Event 1

Tour Event 1 of the World Fitness Project is three weeks away. Workouts were released last week and with that we now have the first look at how the competition floor will be set up.

In the ‘Workout Flow and Standards’ section of each event on Competition Corner, the WFP has provided a step-by-step description of how the event will progress from start to finish, written standards for each movement and a diagram of the competition floor.

The competition floor will have 10 lanes with the rig in front of the starting line. While the flooring in the Grand Park Sports Complex is artificial turf, it does appear that two sections of the turf will be covered by rubber flooring.

The section nearest the start line and rig has four areas for progressing a barbell (or sandbag). The middle section is the artificial turf with a minimum of 50-feet for handstand walks, yoke carries and the sled push. And the near the finish line there is another rubber flooring section for two more stations of barbell work.
