We knew it would be hot and the weather for Ft. Worth is shaping up to not disappoint. A look at the 10-day forecast shows all four days will be mostly sunny with almost no chance of rain. As for the temperatures, think triple digits.
Yep, Thursday is expected to be the hottest day, coming in with a high of 105 degrees (40.5 Celsius). Athletes will only have one outdoor event that morning beginning at 7:00 am local time. With a low of 79 degrees (26 C), it is likely it will be in the low 80’s while they are at Marine Creek Lake.
From there, Friday, Saturday and Sunday all look alike with a high of 103 and a low of 79 (78 on Sunday).
The only other outdoor event is Friday night at Farrington Field. Scheduled from 8:00pm to 10:00pm that night, temperatures have been in the mid-90s in that timeframe. At least the sun is down by then…
The good news is that humidity is projected to be a modest 43%.
All other events are inside at Dickies Arena…with air conditioning.
And for spectators, the CrossFit Experience (aka Vendor Village) is also air conditioned. However, you will need to walk outside to go back and forth from Dickies Arena and Will Rogers Memorial Center. Fortunately, there will be large misting fans and portable AC to minimize the sweat.
