So far this year I have published over 520 articles. This article will be #524. It’s always interesting to see which articles resonate the most each year. Overall, CrossFit Games news dominated the most-read articles in 2025, however, the most-read article had nothing to do with CrossFit.
With that, here are the top 10 most-read articles of 2025:
#10…LMNT Caught Up in Salty Maltodextrin Controversy
This was actually published in October 2024. However, it continued to be one of the most-read articles many months later. Essentially, it was discovered that LMNT had been using maltodextrin in its electrolyte packets, despite claiming it had “no sugar, no gluten, no dodgy ingredients, vegan and paleo and keto-friendly”.

#9…25.1 CrossFit Open is…
The CrossFit Open always generates interest within the community. And the first Open workout of the year brings much anticipation around the world. This year was no exception.
Everyone wanted to know what 25.1 was.
#8…Programming Q and A // Shut Up and Scribble
J.R. Howell, Taylor Self and Bryson DelMonte answered questions about programming back in June on their show, Shut Up and Scribble. Apparently it was what many were curious about…
#7…How Much Did the Athletes Earn at the 2025 CrossFit Games?
Entering the 2025 CrossFit Games season, there was a lot of chatter about how the prize money was calculated. New in 2025, prize money was based on the number of CrossFit Open registrations. Some liked it, others hated it.
In the end, everyone wanted to know about it.

#6…How to Watch the 2025 CrossFit Games
Every time I write an article like this I am surprised how many people click on it. How do people not know how to watch the CrossFit Games? I can understand competitions like Wodapalooza where it had been hosted on the Loud & Live YouTube channel or WFP when it was only available on its website.
But the CrossFit Games? I’m not complaining about the views, but it is kind of crazy.
#5…Cloudy, Low 60s Forecasted for Run/Row/Run on Friday
Nothing like a good ol’ weather forecast. I guess after the heat was a major topic of discussion the previous year, everyone wanted to know about the weather for the one event outside in Albany. But a cloudy 60-degree day isn’t very exciting.
But at least it’s still better than an article about coffee shops (IYKYK).
#4…2025 CrossFit Games Prize Money Payout Breakdown
While I broke down who made how much after the CrossFit Games, this article was written in March following the conclusion of the CrossFit Open. I was able to calculate roughly the total prize money and how much first place at the CrossFit Games would earn.
It wasn’t perfect as the Open data is not great on the front-end, but it was very close.

#3…The CrossFit Games DID NOT Find The Fittest On Earth
First caveat, I didn’t write this. Tyler Watkins did.
Second caveat, Tyler calculated the P-Score from the 2025 CrossFit Games.
The results of P-Score were different than the actual leaderboard for the men. Tyler argued that Ricky Garard, who actually finished 2nd at the Games, should have won. And the actual Fittest Man on Earth, Jayson Hopper, should not have even been on the podium.
So, of course this article created some controversy.
#2…CrossFit is on Life Support
CrossFit is dying. The best days of CrossFit are behind us. Those stories always seem to gain traction.
The second most read article this year was of Andrew Hiller’s video titled, “CrossFit is on Life Support”. The video isn’t highly produced like most of his. Instead, it’s a 15-minute video from his car while driving home from West Virginia.
#1…Strongman Mitchell Hooper Accused of Infidelity
And the one you were waiting for. Like I said, the top story of 2025 was not even about CrossFit. Instead, it was about Mitchell Hooper cheating on his wife with his assistant.
It was quite the crazy story.
So there you have it. The top 10 stories from 2025.
Surprisingly, with all the talk about the sale of CrossFit, the original article announcing that Berkshire was looking to sell CrossFit, LLC, came in at #18. It was just ahead of the transgender swimmer article.
The top article referencing the World Fitness Project was when Will Moorad, Saxon Panchik and Jackson Terry joined the Coffee Pods and Wods podcast. That came in at #21. I guess those interested in the WFP went elsewhere.
Like I said, I always find it fascinating to see what readers gravitate to the most every year. Regardless of whether you read one article or check out what is going on daily, thank you for your support.
Onto 2026…
