As more information comes out about how to qualify for each of the 2026 Semifinals, we are breaking that down in our ‘How to Qualify’ series. The latest Semifinal to announce its criteria to compete is the Mayhem Classic.
The Mayhem Classic is back for a second year and similar to 2025, if you are hoping there is a path to qualify, you’re out of luck. The 2026 Mayhem Classic will once again kick off the 2026 Semifinals…and will be an invite-only competition.

How to Qualify?
In simple terms, you can’t. The field will be selected on an invite-only basis. Here are how those invites will be handed out…
Rogue Points System. The top 15 from the Rogue Points System will receive an invite. It appears the intent is that backfill invites will come from the Rogue Points System, however that has not been clearly laid out.Â
Wild Card Invites. Organizers are holding back five spots for wild card invites that can be extended to athletes who might not earn an invite via the Rogue Points System.
Additional Requirements
To qualify for the CrossFit Games via the Mayhem Classic, athletes will also need to meet the following criteria. It is unclear at this time whether athletes who are not participating in the CrossFit Games season will be allowed to compete.
CrossFit Open. Athletes must finish in the top 25% worldwide in the 2026 CrossFit Open.
CrossFit Quarterfinals. Athletes must finish in the top 2,000 worldwide in the 2026 CrossFit Quarterfinals.
