Emma Tall “Most Likely” Won’t Compete in 2025 CrossFit Games Season

Emma Tall revealed in an upcoming podcast that she will most likely not compete in the 2025 CrossFit Games season. Tall, who joined the Athletes Zone podcast, with host and three-time Olympian Ásdís Hjálms, was asked her plans regarding the upcoming season.

“So I haven’t spoken about this at all, but I’m most likely not going to do that,” shared Tall when speaking about the 2025 CrossFit Games season.

The host clarified, “So you’re going to skip the season?” After Tall acknowledged that was the case, Hjálms said, “So that is a big decision, not doing the Open. I am guessing everything that we talked about here that this has everything to do with last year’s Games. It does not have anything to do with changes that they are making and all of that. Or that’s just like maybe another nail in the coffin.”

Tall then clarified, “No, but I would say it definitely has to do with the response to the PFAA.”

Tall withdrew from the 2024 CrossFit Games following Lazar Đukić’s drowning during the first event at Marine Creek Lake. Tall, who finished 4th on Event 1 and returned Friday morning to take 5th on the second event, withdrew from the remainder of the competition.

Tall was vocal following the CrossFit Games and shared her thoughts on the final day of the CrossFit Games.

Since the Games, Tall has competed at the TYR Wodapalooza SoCal TYR Cup and followed that up by 6th at the 2024 Rogue Invitational last month.

Emma’s interview on The Athletes Zone Podcast will be available tomorrow, December 17. The podcast will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Amazon Music.
